Financial support through sponsorships

The Vienna Beethoven Conservatory pursues the principle of sponsorships as an alternative to state study grants that local students can apply for: we initiate sponsorships with national and international companies to provide financial support for selected excellent students. In return, students are expected to successfully complete their studies and - depending on the agreement - artistic performances at events organised by the respective company.

Team building activities

In order to promote a sense of community and intercultural exchange at the Vienna Beethoven Conservatory, joint parties and excursions are organised, contacts are made with established artists and networking takes place. There are regular get-togethers for students and teaching staff, where they can spend a relaxing time together as well as talking shop.

Our additional service for students from abroad

International students also have the option of booking an all-round service package with the following services:

  • Support with visa applications:
Assistance with applications to the respective Austrian diplomatic mission authorities and the Vienna Municipal Department 35
  • Pick-up from Vienna Schwechat Airport:
    Uncomplicated and timely transfer
  • Organisation of accommodation with training facilities:
Active housing search for student-friendly and affordable accommodation
  • Support in dealing with authorities:
such as social insurance institutions, Vienna municipal departments, transport association
  • German courses with additional consideration of music-specific vocabulary:
Knowledge of German is desired at the beginning of the programme and should be supplemented by an ÖSD certificate at level A2 (or equivalent language certificate) after the 2nd year of study.
  • Orientation coaching:
Every culture has its own peculiarities. Settling in and finding your way around a big city like Vienna is a challenge for most students. An introduction to European, Austrian and Viennese customs promotes intercultural competence. This enables behaviour and expectations to be better understood and anticipated. Orientation coaching also includes an introduction to interesting institutions, hotspots and leisure activities.

The additional service for students from abroad can be booked at the Student Administration Office when registering for the degree programme. This additional service can be booked individually for each student - after a discussion with the responsible counsellor for the region (from which the student comes). To make an appointment, please contact our Student Administration Office on.
